Natalie was a beautiful soul - and your writing captured all of that magic.
i feel for her son, so young in age. i weep for him.
sometimes, we live only to touch other people's lives, and she has done that to you, and you to her.
you gave her memory justice. she was in fact, lucky to have that lovely talk with you before she left the world, gaining another friend in you. and you are blessed, to realise through her, that life is fleeting and we should all just be kind to each other while we're here. 💔
Wonderful tribute written with such grace. What a poignant way to celebrate life, with all its intricacies, highs & lows, but mostly the connections we make, no matter how fleeting, which can so deeply affect us. Despite never knowing Natalie, my heart sank when reading this story, yet also flutters with its reminder to honor the beauty that is this precious life. Thank you for sharing.
You wrote that absolutely beautifully. You were able to bring me right to each moment and feel the feelings from each person. Really great job writing and reminding everyone how short life is. Thank you.
Wow, @Olu Ayo , just now reading your message, you made my day!
Thank you for reading, thank you for receiving, thank you for feeling, thank you for caring, and mostly thank you for reflecting back your experience of my piece.
This was a painful experience for all involved, shockingly traumatic for me, and I think of her son, to this day, since he’s around my youngest son’s age, 17.
Thank you for allowing this read to re-orient your day/week.

So beautifully written. So emotionally heartfelt. Thank you for sharing this. We all tend to miss the universe of life's twist and turns. Our existence is so chaotic. But we can tease some view of its hidden order, both in pain an happiness.
Thank you for reading and reflecting @Gary W. Sherwin 🙏✨😊 Yes, the inexplicable wicked twists and turns of this universe often leave me breathless.
I love your phrasing : ‘teasing some view of its hidden order in pain and happiness’ - I do trust in the perfection of it all, even when it doesn’t suit me🕉️
My darling, your gift of eloquence is matched only by your incredible compassion. The fact that your patients were so perfectly at ease that they could be vulnerable and share openly their deepest selves, and you saw them and walked with them. I weep for Natalie, and all who had the privilege of meeting her. I thank the universe that in her final days she got to meet you though - not just a doctor but a human who listened to her, authentically connected with her, understood her, and told her she was beautiful inside and out. If only there were more soul surgeons like you in this world. xxx
omg, how tragic. 😪

Thank you for reading and reflecting @Susan Hickman 🙏
I often remember that he’s close to my youngest son’s age, who just turned 17, and so I think of him, and Natalie, often, too.🥺✨🙏

This devastated me. I’m out here crying in the middle of changing my son’s diaper.
Thank you so much for lovingly sharing Natalie’s story, for being a witness to the inner, outer beauty her presence placed in the world.
I am so sorry for your loss, for her son’s loss, for the very real pain of her and her fiancé’s passing.
I needed to read this. It re-oriented my day, my week. Thank you again.
